Activate Mailing in aiFind by adding DNS-records
Why do I need to setup DNS-records?
Your domain (e.g. aifind.io) is key for effective email deliverability and it is essential that we take care of it. The last thing we need is your domain being blacklisted and your emails being flagged as spam. The setup of the following records on your DNS server is a necessary step towards the use of mail campaigns, security of your domain and high deliverability of your mail shots.
SPF record
The Sender Policy Framework (SPF) is a security mechanism created to prevent others from sending emails on your behalf. This mechanism essentially communicates between DNS servers. By adding this record the mail campaigns in aiFind will be sent with your personal email address. People will think you have sent the email from your inbox.
DKIM record
DomainKeys Identified Mail (DKIM) standard has been created for the same reason as SPF: prevention from impersonating you as an email sender. Basically, an additional email sign-off will really proof that that you have sent the email.
CNAME record
Corporate spam prevention systems filter out email campaigns with links which are not verified to your domain. Therefore each campaign includes an unsubscribe link and an open tracking pixel to measure the activities of recipients.
Without this record some spam prevention systems cannot verify the mail campaign you have sent. So your email might land in the spam filter. The CNAME records gives you your own customized tracking link which is verified to you organisation.
Setup them up
If you are not an IT-expert please be careful or get an expert on your site. If already existing records break your domain (incl. your website) might be unavailable. Login to your provider (Cloudflare, Ionos, Wix, Strato, etc.) where you are hosting your domain (e.g. aifind.io). In most of the cases you will find a guide of your provider to setup DNS records properly.
